Now don't get me wrong, that game has its faults and is kinda janky, but I sank a full spring and summer into that game just because it was such a big game. ha ha! I think a lot of modern games have a lot to owe to Deus Ex. It, along with the System Shock games, pioneered and perfected the sort of player empowering RPG/FPS fusion gameplay that we now see frequently in games like Fallout 3, Borderlands, Bioshock, Stalker and Mass Effect Love the podcast by the way, I've been listening for a while but have never thought to comment before.
