Episode 231 (03/28/11) – Citizens on Patrol

March 27th, 2011

This week! We go on a film tangent early on but eventually get around to talking about our 3DS plans (this episode was recorded before Sunday’s release) and an update of Phil’s Bioware/EA DLC license transfer woes. Then it’s onto the games we’ve been playing this week, including Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP, Tapper World Tour, Dead Space 2 and Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime. Join us, won’t you?

    Guys I’ve already posted the solution to phil’s DRM woes last week to @p1podcast :/

    @Abdul
    I had done a license transfer already, with no positive effect. Yesterday, though, I got a PM through our forums reminding me to re-download the offending DLC after doing the transfer.

    Well, that seems to have worked! I was able to load up my wife’s saved games in DA:O and ME2 with no problem. Thanks for the advice, everyone!

    Of course, that still doesn’t change the fact that I spend roughly two and a half hours talking to EA’s support people, and they didn’t once ask if I had done the license transfer. Ridiculous.

    Phil, also remember that you can sign in with your main gamertag onto the second controller as well to access the DLC.

    I should’ve mentioned that you need to redownload the DLC– I wasn’t actually sure if you needed to or not.

    @Abdul
    The DLC was showing up as corrupted on my Gamertag as well as my wife’s, so I don’t know if signing me on with the second controller would do any good.

    Weird. The gamertag that you redeemed the DLC with should also have a license to th content. Oh well, at least it works now!

    PS: castlevania lords of shadow is better than enslaved ;)

    Oh, if you redeemed some of the DLC with your gamertag and some with your wife’s maybe that caused the corruption on both since neither gamertag had a license to all of the content.

    @Abdul
    That could very well be the case. I know that we’re gotten DLC with both accounts. Ah, digital download future.
