    Hey guys,

I’ve listened for a while but have never written in. I just wanted to make a comment on the complaint of tracks in trials being locked behind a medal count. I don’t think you are looking at this in the right light. You noted that the difficulty curve in HD was too steep. The developers put the license tests and the medal counts to unlock levels in Evolution purposely to keep people from reaching difficult tracks before they were ready for them. By ensuring that you are competent at earlier levels, and then pass the license tests, one will be more capable at tackling the hard tracks and then extreme.

I believe they did a great job at difficulty progression, and this lock out mechanic is a great tool for this. Also, you will notice that the Extreme track list is not even on the menu to taunt you until you complete the game by getting enough medals and seeing the credits roll. This also unlocks the more difficult platinum medal goals.

    Just some food for thought.

    Love the show!
