Saying the WWII U is two Wiis stuck together is a little bit of a disservice. I tthink right now it’s potential is a little under realized as assets for PS3 and 360 are being ported over. One thing because of the much larger memory is that it’s easy to port over assets from those consoles. No third party games are tapping into the power of this thing yet. With the larger memory should get some real true 1080p games that were only 720 p on PS3. Even though PS3 touts 1080p very few simple games are actually in that resolution. The Wii supposedly had no problems running 1080 p content on graphically intense games. Also the streaming screen on the controller is a marvel in itself. Even something like smart glass can’t match the capabilities of the tablet controller. I’m really looking forward to next years games when someone can harness to true power of the Wii you rather than first gen games that are only slightly better ports of current gen offerings. Nintendo should be able to do that with its next Zelda game I expect.

Mike, in case you haven’t discovered it yet, although Steam may not yet boot into Big Picture mode if you just press the Guide button on the connected Xbox controller it will launch Big Picture mode for you. Steam just has to be running for this to work (it can even be minimised to the system tray), and does not need to be in the foreground.
