Long time listener, etc. I shut this off after the first two topics.
1. You guys all seem strangly harsh on this ET thing and are wrong about the project. It is about more than "the dig" and there are some talented people involved with it. Plus, guess what? Kinda cool that they dug those old carts up, known location or not. It's a popular piece of videogame folklore we've been hearing referenced for years, and now we get to see it.
2. I feel like CJ is just trolling me here. Mario Golf DLC gives the players access to more conent for a game they like? Okay, I'm not going to bother hitting rewind and quoting all of the Forza 5 and Ryse microtransaction talk, beucase anyone who has ever listened to this show knows that was liquid bullshit. Stop f-ing Nintendo's corpse.
I usually don't re-anything. I don't rewatch movies or shows, I don't reread books (which I don't read enough of anyway) and I never replay a game.
My basic theory is that redoing something will never have the same impact and that life is short and there's a lot of media out there. I'd rather have a slightly shallower experience with two different pieces of media than a deeper one with only one.
I put up my times for both of this week's events already, because I have a lot of holiday and family stuff going on. I really like these classes. I think the "middle cars" in Forza and Gran Turismo are the most fun to drive.
I do agree with this, and I've always had that feeling about these games. I'm more into finding the right car and sticking with it.
It seems like you better make a damn good choice when it comes to the high end stuff, because if you don't like your choice afer a few races you're kinda boned. I'd rather just play the way I want, sell the cars I don't use or have them cheap, and always have that safety net after 20 or 30 hours in that I have enough credit to get whatever I want.
I guess what I mean is cheap cars don't prevent you from sticking to just a few, while expensie ones limit everyone to playing like that. We'll see how the upcoming economy changes that.
(Am I nuts or does Firefox spell checker not work on this forum? I need that thing, guys!)
