The thing is, we backed the game, not the company. Sure I want them to be successful, but that onus isn't on the backers. We should be given a copy of the game to play for giving them the ability to make their game in the first place. All backers should have a way to play, whether that's PC or iOS. I understand there are stumbling blocks, but as you stated these were all things they would have seen coming if they did the proper research into it.

They also have a PC version, yet for some reason aren't offering that to backers as a replacement to the iOS copy. So it's just coming off as them wanting to boost iOS sales before the PC version is ready at the expense of their backers.

Camouflaj asking backers if they want to forfeit their copy of the game
Tweeted this to the podcast but figured it's worth a discussion.

I'm a backer of République on Kickstarter. Camouflaj are having issues fulfilling the copy backers paid for to International accounts because of the way the app works (it's an episodic app, which apparently ties them to US account only). So they sent out another survey that will allow them to refund $5 (still unclear exactly what this is for when backers funded $10 per copy), so that we can go and buy it ourselves. It's also worth noting that they aren't even sure if they can refund the $5 through Amazon payments system yet - yet are asking us to trust them and buy the game first:

And then the survey that follows includes this gem:

Literally asking backers if they would like to forfeit their copy so Camouflaj can keep the money and not worry about finding a way to refund them.

I also think Halo 4 was the best Halo game of the generation. Best Halo since the original really.

I'm something like 25% into it. It's enjoyable so far but I haven't been particularly "wowed" by it. Think I just expected something more engaging, but I also just came off A Link Between Worlds. It's the best looking game I've seen on the handheld though, constantly amazed by the amount of work that must have gone into crafting these worlds.

You guys have me laughing out loud during my commute, just glad I'm within the confines of my own car.

    Almost every top 5 Wii game for me includes Mario;

    1. Super Mario Galaxy
    2. Super Mario Galaxy 2
    3. Mario Kart Wii
    4. New Super Mario Bros.
    5. Kirby's Epic Yarn

Started last night, very fun, and the Platinum seems attainable for once.

I should have kept a running list, whatever answer I have isn't definitive.

Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time is probably the game I had the most pure fun with, also one of the 5 Platinums I currently have, but it didn't 'stick' with me. Meanwhile Journey is probably the most memorable experience.

I've literally played everything else in that list lol. Need to put more time into Dragon's Dogma and Binary Domain, though it's hard to go back to PS3 even if the visuals aren't all that bad it's still that voice inside me going "You just spent $400+ on a PS4!".

NHL 14 for $15! I skipped it this year because of no next-gen version, but for $15 and still the majority of the season left I may need to give in.

Beat the game! First Zelda game I've finished - really happy with it and I'm glad I took my time. On my shortlist for game of the year for sure.

    Still never got those boots...

    Time to download Tearaway.

Where do I start? Let's see.. oh you mean with not beating a Zelda game. Never really got into them. Had an SNES as a kid but wasn't old enough to know what games I needed play. During N64 days, I came on late (only had a PS1 for a while), and was told by my friend that OoT was an "RPG" and my exposure to RPGs through FF was enough to know that I didn't enjoy them. Finally during the internet age when I could actually educate myself, grabbed Wind Waker and loved it up until the fetch quest, which is where I stopped. Also around the time I finally played OoT with that bonus GCN disc but the dated visuals held me back from going too deep into it.

I've also played Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, but lost interest in both somewhere along the way.

I have a couple of the sages left to get but I'm pretty confident that this will be the first Zelda game I finish. It's just so incredibly fun, and if I hit a tough spot (that flower boss in the sand area is kicking my ass) I just move on to a different area.
