I thought it was pretty impressive. The games will come - 8GB of GDDR5 was all I needed to be convinced.
Rockstar is a fairly glaring absence at the end of this document, although I suppose they could be covered by the mention of Take-Two. Suggests that GTA V really is current gen only, or that the rumours it it being a MS exclusive for next gen might be true? http://www.scei.co.jp/corporate/release/pdf/130221a_e.pdf
(edit: Perhaps not. I didn't realise that Rockstar are owned outright by Take-Two.)
I'm with Mik on sci-fi, but I make an exception for Alien. You should check it out, Mik.
I'm 80% sure I played a trial for some kind of Defender remake on XBLA a few years back. It had none of the qualities that made the original so great. (i.e. the sound)
For me the Vita versions of Mortal Kombat and Uncharted are pretty different cases. MK is a little ugly, but I really don't care because it plays so well - and that's really all I want from MK. I feel like Uncharted loses a bit too much in the transition to the handheld. In my opinion it is the characterisation and dialogue that are a large part of what makes the PS3 versions so great (and the multiplayer), and I don't think Sony Bend nailed that stuff at all. I'm not expecting technical parity - I think Uncharted on the Vita misses the mark in other ways (which is not to say I disliked it - I just didn't love it).
Also, someone needs to tell CJ's wife: NZ doesn't do game development.
More like cats and toothpaste I would have thought, like closing the gate after the train has derailed.
I generally prefer the buyer's-guide, although few things turn me off as quickly as someone discussing a game's controls in great detail.
I actually rarely read reviews these days - if it's a game I'm interested in, I want to avoid spoilers. If it's a game I'm not interested in...I'm not interested. I think the last review I read was because some guy promised me a pony to do so. He didn't come through.
