It's a way better game if you play it using these simple rules:
1. Play on Easy mode. It makes the not so good combat way easier to deal with. You might want to stick with the soldier class as well.
2. Choose a weapon and stick with it. Don't put level up points into separate weapons to try and balance them. Pick one and make it very powerful. I used only the Assault Rifle for most of the game.
3. When possible, always get out of the Makko and fight the enemies on foot. The Makko makes a fine vehicle but a terrible weapon. If I remember correctly, you get a ton more experience points by doing this. Remember to use the Makko as cover while you do this.
I definitely think that part of the reason I enjoyed Mass Effect 2 as much as I did was because I had just spent 40 hours doing every single thing in the first game. If you want to care about the story as much as possible then I recommend the first game a lot.
I really really like that commercial. It is a perfect metaphor for exactly what the millions of Call of Duty players actually do. They "play war". I can totally see why some people would take offense to it though. Especially the men and women who put their lives on the line every day in the real military.
Well, like I said, 2D things do not do it. That includes the 360 dashboard and the XMB. The only place I see it on the Dashboard is the avatars.
To be completely fair, I have not played nearly enough PS3 games to fully test it. I checked out Pain and Joe Danger and found the problem in places on both. Oddly, super stardust and Matt Hazard did not seem to have it happening. I guess the only way to know for sure is to try a copy of something on PS3 that I know for sure gives me problems on 360.
So I still have the issue and have tried numerous things. I had some responses in a thread over here that say it could be an electrical interference issue and that I should look into trying out a power conditioner. At this stage, I really don't know what else to do. I already tried it in a different room and have been playing on my computer monitor where it is somewhat less noticeable but still sticks out to me in every game I play. It's still driving me bat shit insane. If it is the power in my home, that is pretty fucked up.
Also, please do not tell me its always been there and that its in my head. My problem goes way beyond just regular jaggies. Look at the Vanquish video. That is not just jaggies, that is whole straight lines split the fuck apart and traveling across my screen. I get that effect in nearly every game I play and it seems to happen the most with silver colored surfaces. I think this problem might happen on surfaces that have special lighting effects on them. Its like the shiny bits are cut into segments and not just a straight line like they should be.
Also, I don't seem to get this at all in 2D games. Shank, Super Meat Boy, and Shank have none of this from what I can tell.
