I really like the Brutal Legend demo. But im' just not convinced it is a game I will actually buy. Between Uncharted 2 / Assassin's / MW2, there's just too many other games. Not sure where I will find the time or cash to get this.
Thanks. Yeah, Inferno 2 was a beast, but for some reason it never really annoyed me. Even though it took me countless attempts over numerous days, I never really got too frustrated with it.
Going Up was the track I despised. The damn bunny hop over the crate on the incline ramp.... that thing had me close to tossing the 360 out the window.
I CANNOT wait for the DLC. Still mad that I can't access random user-made levels. But oh well, as long as the DLC has lots of new tracks, i'll be happy.
The 2nd ramp is the key. You need to let your bike slowly roll down the 2nd ramp, then just at the bottom, accelerate. Its the only way to get enough speed so that you hit the 3rd ramp high enough to get control of the bike soon enough to roll down to the bottom of that ramp before accelerating.
I would just try working on nailing the soft landing on the 2nd ramp. If you can hit it gently; lean forward while quickly tapping on/off the gas as you slowly roll backwards.
Hey guys, haven't posted here in a long time, but since Phil mentioned the game on this week's episode, I thought I would mention I LOVE this game. Feel free to add me on XBL (same as my username), I would love to compare scores with more people or check out some levels people have created. Thanks.
Anyone else still playing this? I am stuck at the Golbez battle right after the Dolls. I keep getting destroyed, so I decided to put on auto-battle & just mindlessly grind all day for a few days straight before attempting this battle again. I am 20 hours into this game; and there is no way in hell I am stopping now; but holy hell this game is tough!
Only a few more hours til this is available on PSN.
Sounds like most people's impressions are positive; it really is amazing how much Capcom 'gets it' in terms of figuring out what gamers want this generation. I wonder what the next Capcom game will be to get the retro-revival treatment from them. Mega Man & Bionic Commando aside, what's next?
In regards to the OP, I find it difficult to get worked up over the pricing differences between Sony / MS. In both companies the ultimate decisions about pricing are made by marketing & finance people; people who in all likelihood will never play any of the games they price.
It cracks me up that people continue to ascribe "pro gamer" or "anti-gamer" motives to these corporations. Go read Game Over and learn how much even our beloved Nintendo worked to screw us all during their 1980s - early 90s heyday. These companies are rationally trying to make as much money as possible; period... that's the whole point...
