I've always sort of enjoyed knowing that If I want to play something, I can just track it down in my own personal game "LIbrary" without having to stay up until 2 in the morning trying to snipe it off of Ebay for less than $30.
It's why I tend to keep the games I know I love and I know I'll play again, and trade in stuff I could care less about for the most part.
It doesn't help that my favorite genre (RPGS) tends to be rather scarce in the re-sell market, and when they do show up, they command un-reasonable prices.
Every once in a while my collection gets a trimming with stuff I just don't care about. But for the most part, I keep pretty much everything. I'm not much of a fan of re-buying something I already paid for once when I get the urge to play it again.
This site is possibly my favorite place to get replacement parts for old systems. They've very reasonable with their prices, have youtube videos to help with fixing stuff, and are just generally awesome.
I am genuinely shocked that Phil didn't think that a Diaper Genie was an enhancement device to make your kid run faster and jump higher.
Also... the PSP neglect discussion amused me, because I've been playing the ever-loving shit out of my PSP lately. I played Ys I & II Chronicles last week and am currently working my way through Oath in Felgana. Then, on September 20th, it's Persona 2 time!
As long as there is an offline mode where I never have to interact with another human being, fine by me.
Of course, assuming Nintendo is publishing this one in the states like it did for 9, and given NOA's track record recently for pulling dick moves for localizing RPGs, I wonder if we'll even SEE IT here in the states.
Just read about the fighting game... They said it would be characters from 3 and 4. I hope they expand it to include characters from 1 and 2 as well. Mainly because Mark from P1 is my favorite character in the series thus far.
Also... Damn Atlus and NIS for making me want a Vita for games I already own. >_<
<--- Is currently playing through Persona portable in preparation for the US release of Innocent Sin, which I already have paid off.
I'm actually having to play through it twice because I completely borked a question and answer sequence and didn't realize it would lead to a bad ending >_<
I'm also INCREDIBLY annoyed that it seems that all of the niche Japanese localization companies (NIS, Atlus, Natsume, and XSeed) decided to release games that I am REALLY interested in within a week of each other. >_<
I had a feeling it wasn't going to be the last episode. I would think that when they do finally decide to call it quits they would have solicited some voice mails or tweets asking for listeners favorite memories and such.
Plus Extra Life Radio did the exact same joke at episode 200.
The ultimate sad thing about this is that when Nintendo doesn't bring titles like this over to the U.S. it does nothing but further encourage system modding and piracy, thus screwing over both themselves and the developers.
It will make me a sad-sad person to not see either game get released here.
However, It won't surprise me if it doesn't since Nintendo has been pretty bad this generation about not wanting to release stuff here (Fatal Frame 4, Trace Memory, and a few others that I can't think of right this second)
It just makes me so sad and angry at the same time. Why can't we have nice things damn it.
