What game should we do next?

Keep in mind, it has to also be available via a current console's download service. Maybe Super Mario Bros. for the NES (since it's 25 years old and all that)? Nominate now!

I would nominate either:

Crash Bandicoot 2: The Wrath of Cortex (for something newer)

or

Breath of Fire II.

Both have a special place in my heart, and that damn Polar Bear in Crash 2 with its stupid smile if you died reminded me a lot of one of my friends smile.

Can I put in a vote for Breath of Fire 2?

Can I make a prediction that CJ will play 5 minutes of this and never boot it again?

Weird doing another Mario one, didn't you guys do Mario 2 in an earlier episode?

Not that I'm complaining. I loves me some Mario.

an RPG would be interesting, but not realistic.

Did we ever do the Majora's Mask one? I forgot...

It's probably a mistake to ask your audience which game to play.

A bit random (not so much to me as it's one of my favourites) but I'd suggest Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars.

Available on a ton of formats at this point, PC, Wii, PS1, iOS and a bunch of others.

It's a shame it's only the newly updated Director's Cut that's around though as it changes some stuff I'd rather it hadn't.

Secret of Mana!

Not everyone finishes the game for Game Club anyway. I don't think we have to be able to finish it to play it. Also I really want an excuse to snag my friend and make him finish the Mana Fortress with me.

I second this. It's also available on Steam for PC *and* Mac. Contrasted with the LucasArts adventures games, it's almost never talked about in the US but has some quite excellent aspects. It'd definitely be divisive, which always produces a better Game Club.

I think it is realistic, if you set the tone of how it's going to be done right.

By that I mean, rather than finish than just have the game "finished" by a set point, have it set to play through to a certain points, so that it may take even say, 3 or 4 weeks.

However, I think doing Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis would be awesome.

'Course, so would doing Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: The Graphic Adventure.

Btw the original Spyro the Dragon is discounted for PS+ members now... I played it back in the day but it might be interesting to look at it from the perspective of Insomniac's later games.

Is Secret of Evermore available for download? That game is far more polarizing than Secret of Mana... (and in my opinion, almost as good)

What? Evermore almost as good as Mana? I liked Evermore, but not the same way I like Mana. Mana was good, Evermore was different And I don't believe it is available now.

I vote Majora's Mask.

I think we should play whatever CJ wants, because that's the only thing that's going to get played anyway.

And even then it's a 50/50 chance.

I realize I suggested it, but I think Sypro 2 is a better choice.

Not currently. Then again, Squenix just uploaded Mystic Quest, so they'll get to SoE sometime next decade.

And since I played Spyro 2 just last month, I almost want to say Spyro 3! But I suppose I could talk about Spyro 2 having already played it, then I can be lazy.

Never turn down a chance at laziness.
