OMFG PC Gaming is AWESOME.
Is there any Steam Friends functionality with World of Goo?
Regardless, my Steam name is Vaxadrin and I intend to buy Left 4 Dead on Steam this fall. biggrin.gif

Yeah. I don't think you'd have any problems running any Source game on that. Half-Life 2 runs at pretty solid 60 frames on my old 2GHz, 1GB RAM XP box. My graphics card is an old Radeon X800, so no DX10, obviously. Will TF2 run on my laptop? AMD Turion64 DualCore, 2GB ram, Nvidia Geforce 7000m.
I really want to rebuy all my Source games on Steam but I'm not sure if the physics will make it cry.

You don't think he could get somewhere in the 30 fps range at 1024x768 or 800x600 resolutions on his notebook?

Well I already have a million games so I'll keep em on my to-do list for when I upgrade.
I should mention that I am one of those people that runs PC multiplayer games at the lowest graphical settings possible for best framerate. When I play Quake 3 is the battle of triangles in the big grey square.

In that case, you'd definitely want to play it on a dedicated gaming machine then. In the mean time, we can play Habbo Hotel together. Do you want to Habbo with me?I should mention that I am one of those people that runs PC multiplayer games at the lowest graphical settings possible for best framerate. When I play Quake 3 is the battle of triangles in the big grey square.

Really sorry to say this Vax, but no they won't run well. The rest of the PC is fine, but the videocard is severely underpowered (it's not meant for gaming).

My laptop card, which is a 7600 Go, runs TF2 at maybe 20-30fps, maxed out (no AA). It scores 7800 on 3DMark03. The 7000m on the other hand, scores 1380. To get playable performance, you'd need to force DX7/8 and have the lowest settings possible.
In comparison, the $120 8800GT/9800GT for desktops today scores around 38000 in 3DMark03.

My Intel GMA can run Source games on low, and since I updated the drivers it runs fine in DX9. The Nvidia integrated chipsets are a lot better than the Intel ones, right?

They updated the Valve complete pack on Steam to include Left 4 Dead and the price is still $100, so I picked it up. My Steam ID is gsrjedi
