Keep in mind that Wizzard Media produced the app for us and we don't have much control (actually, none) over functionality. We do have control over bonus content which will be coming in some form or another shortly. Audio and video only available to those who have the iPhone app.

Yeah I noticed that as well. I'll have to ask and see what's up. They had the new button, and for some reason... it's not used. But, there might be a reason for it -- there's a reason the "Audio Recording" label is gone from the album art used in the app too.

It's weird because the P1 Button icon is what appears when you go to the app store through iTunes on the PC...

Couple of comments:
- Fix the background, make it bigger, change it up. Whatever. Just get rid of the big black bars.
- Add my promised bonus content
- Make the links in the show notes a separate thing, so we can browse em.
- Search, possibly? I'm having troubles trying to find out which episode it was, with Dormerbot.

Is there a way to keep the stream going when getting texts? I don't know what I did, but this morning when I was using this I got a text (can't remember if I tried to check it or if it just stopped) and the stream interrupted. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to save your spot?

If it does just stop, you might bring that up to the Wizzard whatever, especially if they are making more podcast apps, seems like a somewhat big oversight. Other than that though, haven't had any problems with it and it is nice being able to go back through episodes anytime.

Hay Guyz. Just bought the app. I think you should have posted this on the main gaming forum. I didn't even know about it til listening to the newest podcast.

The only suggestion I have is regarding the startup background image. Make it fit the screen. Otherwise it does what it says it does. Cool enough, and I'm glad to give you guys a little money.


As for the bonus content. I guess you could just throw some off the wall crap on there. Maybe some personal photos of whatever gaming related trips you've taken, or that sort of thing.

How does it possibly take almost a minute to boot this program up?
I am using an iPhone 3G.

Normally I wouldn't care, but if the phone rings while you are listening, the App has to boot itself up again. It also doesn't store where you left off and if you aren't paying attention, you gotta search around to where you were in the episode.

I don't know why, but yesterday it couldn't find my spot, so I just listened to the dl'ed one. This morning I tried it again and it went to where I was yesterday when it got interrupted. Maybe just waiting a day does it.

App was updated. Nice new features. I like that you can now download the episodes from the app.

How many apps have you guys sold?

Where does the save go when you download the podcast? Is the only way to play it through the App? It is still a nice feature and actually works pretty fast (at least it did for me today, maybe 5 mins)

Now if only they would update the button...

Like Moses after finding out that he himself was a hebrew, I now find myself in the minority and no longer have an iphone. I'm getting a nexus one and now selfishly want this app for the android. I dont care about purchasing it again, I really liked having a backlog of 100+ episodes to listen.

Since this is, well, a community app, sort of, would it be feasible for member-submitted materials to make the "bonus content" category? Like high scores, snapshots of something in a game the podcast covered, that sort of thing.

Player One fans rejoice! Tonight, I was shocked to discover that the Player One Podcast iPhone application, in fact, allowed me to stream quite a bit more than the last hundred or so ish episodes straight to my listening device. In fact, it allowed me to stream any of them!

I give it a 9.5 out of 10.

I love the ability to listen in 1.5X and 2X speed. I can breeze through the stuff i don't care about, but still listen to the whole show in case something funny is said of they really make a strong case for a game I'm not interested in.

Anyone having problems with App? For awhile now I haven't been able to use it because it just shuts down as soon as I open it. I'm using it on an iPhone 4 and I never had any problem like this with it before, just the last few months. I tried deleting and re-downloading it but that didn't work. =/

Sometimes it will forget my place in the episode. But that's the only real problem I've been having lately.

Not sure if it ever got fixed, but trying to play Episode 300 would also lock up the app for me.

I don't know if it had anything to do with it but 300 was a different format than usual. I think it was .m4a

Yeah I ended up just downloading it separately in iTunes and listening to it there.
