I can't tell if the handling is just really floaty in that video or the dude driving just sucks.
Either way, I can't wait to try it myself.
There's a couple videos on Gamersyde and the guy driving is terrible in both videos.

Definitely an unfortunate thing for Sony as a business. That November 2nd date was perfect from a marketing and sales perspective, so if this slips into December they're going to miss those Black Friday sales numbers. Not good, but I'm happy I'll still have it relatively soon.
That November 2nd date was also perfect because nothing else I was interested in was coming out that week.

Thank goodness your life doesn't depend on playing it in November. Or does it?What frustrates me is that, really, if this is over some final fine-tuning then... patch it post-release. I don't care any more at this point I just want to play the damn game...

You live so fast and furiously down there. It might, it's either Gran Turismo or living my racing dreams on a small highway during rush hour.

Fortunately I've got about half a dozen games from earlier in the year that I still need to play. I've never seen a year so lopsided in favor of the first half releases.

Will GT5 or Duke Nukem Forever come out first?
Considering Duke Nukem Forever was supposed to come out the same year as the first Gran Turismo, they are not even in the same league. GT5 would have to get delayed to next summer to even be in Half-Life 2 territory.
Sony's problem is GT4 was released not long before the new hardware cycle started, and they always show some type of GT video at every E3. It made it seems as if the game had been delayed five times before they even gave an actual release date for this past spring.
I think their bigger problem could be racer fatigue brought on by constant releases by EA and other companies. All of those racers released in May tanked, and I don't really know what the last realistic racing game was that was a big hit. Forza 3 doesn't even stay in the top ten on Xbox Live. Just incredibly sloppy work on the publishing side to be left hanging without one real AAA exclusive for the holidays and back to being 33% more expensive than competing hardware. I guess the release of Uncharted 2 to today marks one year of good PR for Sony that is coming to an end.

They're still saying it'll be out in the holiday season.
Which holiday, Valentine's Day? Easter?

Moving this to the "Holiday Season" bucket is disappointing. Anyone want to hazard a guess as to when this will be available? I am going to say Feb 2011.

I had hope when they gave an actual date (Nov 2) that this would ship.

I'm going to bet it's the first week of December.

That's certainly what they're planning on. I have no faith in Polyphony to deliver on any sort of schedule.
