Cockpit views are so nice to look at for the few seconds before a race starts. Then I switch to something playable.

To be fair, I set my wheel 2 feet away from my TV when I played shift. It helps combat the reduced FOV.

If you look around you can probably find a G25 pretty cheap. It is the older version of the wheel but it very similar.

Much like SaitoH I play all my racing games on a computer monitor with a wheel 2 feet away. My monitor has hdmi so it is not too tough to move the consoles around.

I don't know about Canada, but I remember hearing that GameStop & Amazon stopped doing preorders for the CE about a month ago. Amazon has started up again, but it doesn't include the pre-order bonus. WalMart's website had it available a couple days ago.

The jaw dropping save file stupidity continues. A well known poster who's had GT5 for several days now says the save file is locked to your PS3.

I already explained my stance on this in a previous thread, but it does tempt me. It's not like I don't have a shit ton of awesome games to play right now, including Hot Pursuit, which I frankly am more excited about. I've always been a bit more of an arcade guy than a sim guy.

What makes you think you have the right to move your save file to any PS3 you want? What makes you think you have the right to back up your hours of progress in the game in case your hard drive dies or your save file becomes corrupted? /sarcasm

At least let people save the file to a memory stick so people can move that between machines. Even if it's locked to the memory stick at least the memory stick is portable. Just like Microsoft has allowed you to do with the 360 since day one.
