Seriously, five bucks for this game is a steal. From what I've played so far it looks and feels great. Locked at 60fps (which actually makes the bonus stages feel a bit weird at first), both US and JP soundtracks available, widescreen (but not stretched that I can see) and the ability to turn off crappy screen smoothing filters.
BUY IT!
It is a shame that the Japanese intro and outro had to go without lyrics, though.

I didn't know it has selectable soundtracks. Yeah I'm totally buying this. That's the one feature I've really wanted from a Sonic CD port, because I actually like both soundtracks.

Aw could have included a note that it's not out on PSN until December 20th. I'm going to wait to use a real D-Pad on that mofo.

There is some sort of licensing issue with the Japanese soundtrack. The intro music doesn't have any lyrics.
The US soundtrack seems to be intact, though.

Okay, I seriously lol'd.
I would get Sonic CD again, but I'll want for Sonic's Ultimate Ultimate Genesis Collection before I rebuy it. I don't want it sitting on my harddrive. That's how I forget about games I own.
Until then, I'll be happy with my original copy and my CDX.

I'm just glad that from the sounds of things this is not the usual slapdash port job that many of the other Sonic games got. Those little options are a big deal to me.

i think I'm going to wait for the PSN version. Playing a 2D Game with the 360 D-pad is usually a problem.

I played the demo stage a few times....yeah its pretty damn awesome. Playing at 60FPS is nice compared to 30 on Sonic Generations. I will be buying the PSN version. The 360 Dpad is such shit.

Spencer Nilsen actually. He did the Sega CD version of Batman Returns as well. I hear someone really enjoys that soundtrack.

He did a lot of Sega's CD soundtracks back in the day. He was the head of their music studio, I believe.
