I know we have plenty of listeners (and one host) from the Great White North. I was wondering if one of y'all would be willing to help me get a new Transformers toy that's only being released in Asia and in your fine country.

It's a two-pack of figures from the new Transformers Prime TV series. It contains Bumblebee and Starscream, and it retails for about $35. Is there anyone willing to pick this thing up and ship it down to me in California? I could PayPal you the money for the toy and shipping, obviously.

That would be awesome. Apparently the set has just started to appear in Canadian stores, so if you see one, I would be most appreciative.

Any idea what stores in particular? I would presume places like Toys R Us and Wal-Mart would be the places to look...

I have to send a fairly large package out later in the week, so I can check out a few places in the next couple days and let you know if I find it.

The first reported sighting was at a Walmart in Ontario, so they should be showing up all over soon.

Nothing at the one Walmart I went to today. I can check another one that's fairly close some time this week. There's conveniently a Toys R Us right beside that one.

Thanks for the help, guys. Like I said, this set has just started being spotted at stores, so they should be showing up everywhere soon. It's also not a store exclusive, so it will be available at Walmart and TRU and just about any place else.

Went to TRU and a different WM. I think the Mart Of Walls around here have really shitty selection in the toy department. However the TRU had loads of stuff. and they had your double packs, but only with Optimus and Megatron. I'm out of places to look, so I'll just have to check back later at a different time in the future when I'm around the stores. If you find anything before me, sickboy, can you post in here so I know not to look any more.

Oh, wow...thanks for going through the trouble. Yeah, I'm thinking it might be a week or two before that Starscream/Bumblebee set gets a wide release. The Prime/Megs set has been out for a while now (yet another Canada exclusive...I'm tempted to get that, too).

But seriously, thanks a ton for checking for me. If you guys ever need something from the US of A, lemme know.

Was at the Mart to buy Catan and decided to just give another peak at the Transformers section and it turns out they had it. No Catan, but they had apparently just put them on shelves as there was no price and the self-checker thing didn't recognize the item. It was what you thought. $35 plus tax. I'll post a picture just to confirm it's the right one before I send it out. Feel free to PM me your address and I'll ship it Monday after work. Oh, and let me know if you want to pay extra to get a tracking number. I anticipate the shipping with it would cost around $20, given its size and weight. You could probably get it there for nearly half the price shipping without it.
