Whose up for a game of Gaming Jeopardy?

Rules are pretty simple. Try to correctly guess the answer than generate your own question by going to http://www.says-it.c...pardy/index.php filling in the clue and then posting it here. Remember, your answers should be in the form of a question as in "who is...." "what is..." "When was..." etc

Let's get the ball rolling! I'll start out with an easy clue.

Good one! Who is Commander Keen?

I think it would be a good idea to add in categories we at least have a starting point.

Here's a harder one:

Funny you should start this thread-- I was thinking the other day about suggesting something similar. I do love gaming trivia. :)

I'll try to come up with some good questions when I'm not all busy working and stuff.

Momerath: Who are the Peach Mountain gang?

Satoshi: I could be wrong, but I bet I haven't played the game so I am stumped.

Here's a hint for my question that has you guys stumped:

Get your clash kicks on routes three, fifteen, twenty-seven, and forty, at which there's a demon, and everything comes to a head.

Lol it's gotta be The Clash at Demonhead which I only know is a game because of Scott Pilgrim vs The World.

That's right - god bless Scott Pilgrim for bringing Clash at Demonhead some of the attention it rightly deserves. It's a very underrated game and I highly recommend you play it even if just in emulation.

The hidden gem one has to be Shantae. Kinda unfair since I'm playing Risky's Revenge right now. I am bummed that I never actually played the original, so I hope it comes out on 3DS Virtual Console someday.

Edit: What is Shantae? It seems like we subtly stopped answering in the form of a question!

That's a trick question - what are Pilotwings and F-Zero. They were both launch titles that used mode 7, even in Japan.

Good job naming pokemon and my beloved Shantae (the original is SUCH a good game - even better than Risky's Revenge sadly)

I'll drop some system hints for the others.

The Red Star is correct! It's SUCH a good game. Who would have thought that mixing shmups and beat 'em ups would work so well? I don't get why there aren't more games copying it.

Agreed, The Red Star is outstanding. Both the shmup gameplay and beat 'em up gameplay are so well done and are combined in such a natural way. One of my favorites from the PS2 era.

All right.

Call Edna For a Good Time is from a game appearing on the Commodore 64 and IBM PC (among others), but famously is NOT included in an NES port due to Nintendo's censorship practices.

Ondore, I'll take your $800 and say who are Game Arts?

Also: Maniac Mansion is correct. As for my other clue (which I fully admit to being obscure as hell):

This game was published by Interplay and uses a text parser:
