TWEWY 2 would be nice on multiple levels. Great game gets a sequel, and Nomura is wrapped-up in a project he can help instead of ruin.

Good news: the Xbox 360 will finally have a web browser in the near future, according to a Verge source. Bad news: It's Internet Explorer.
The source tells The Verge that the new web browser is based on Internet Explorer 9, and features Kinect functionality, allowing users to search with voice input just like the Bing search tech used in the current dashboard. Users will also be able to browse the web without talking to it, reportedly.
It doesn't really matter that it's IE. But are console browsers something worth exploring at this point? And how would this line up with all the dashboard apps?

Also I'm really looking forward to Dragon's Crown. Localisation will determine whether I get a vita soon, or wait until they're everywhere for basically nothing.

It isn't like you're putting anything else out on the system until KH3D, Square!

The presentation last year was really half baked. I'm guessing it is more coherent this time. But you have a good point about one tablet per system. The whole thing seems like it is caught between two audiences. The Wii Sports crowd that went to iOS may never be coming back, and the developers that made PS3 and 360 games might support this for a year until newer hardware and better graphics engines come out. The best thing that could happen for long term support would be Sony backing out of spending a ton of money on powerful hardware and taking a similar approach. If PS4, Nextbox, and of course PC all run UE4 and this does not, you already know what will happen no matter how many units it sells.I still don't like the basic idea of the WiiU. I mean, a console that has a tablet controller, but can only have ONE tablet controller tethered at a time?

Looks like Sony wants to get you excited again before their conference.

Nice tone except for the "Oh, not good..." as a BUS CLOSES IN ON THE TRUCK. I'd like for the witty summer blockbuster writing to get left behind with Uncharted.

Looking forward to Wii U and more 3DS stuff. Really curious to see the Wii U tablet's integration in real games instead of just tech demos.

Agreed. BioShock delayed. The lack of even a rumored release date for GTA V and The Last Us leads me to believe 2013 was the intended target date all along. God of War will be a March release if the pattern holds. I guess the silver lining here is that it seems like a potentially meager fall release schedule isn't because people got scared of Call of Duty for the fifth year in a row. This all seems to be the result of planning or potentially even some development problems (five and a half years for a BioShock game on the same hardware is kind of crazy).2012 is looking like a ghost town for new releases.
This also seems like the first year I can remember where Sony has taken what was usually the Microsoft approach of not knowing what the hell was coming out for the fall until well into the spring. Uncharted 3, Gran Turismo 5, Uncharted 2, LBP, etc were all known about well ahead of time. I honestly have no idea what the hell Sony is publishing this fall.

A new Gears of War has been announced, which should be shown off Monday.

My most anticipated game at E3.
New characters announced so far are Vyse from Skies of Arcadia, Gilius Thunderhead (the dwarf) from Golden Axe, and Joe Mushashi!
Also, there will only be one track per IP this time around, instead of three tracks from only 6 IPs. Announced so far are tracks from Sonic, Jet Set Radio, Panzer Dragoon, Golden Axe, and Super Monkey Ball.
One last thing, for you really big Sega fanboys like me (is it only Greg?), Beat is wearing his clothes from Jet Grind Radio this time, instead of his Jet Set Radio Future gear. This little detail excites very much.

The graphics may not scream next gen when compared to PS3/XB360, but whole package including form and function really does.

Kind of amazing that Nintendo's the first to make the next step into real, meaningful social gaming. Sony's live area social stream on the Vita started in that direction but sputters in some key ways (not being able to view in-game being the big one). And unless Microsoft has something to show in that area tomorrow they're woefully behind.

You got your damn points. Happy now?
(yellow bar at the top)
If that yellow bar in top carries over to something permanent I'm most likely in on day one. If not i'm probably not. Weird that I'm a one issue guy like that, but it's mostly that I got almost zero enjoyment out of the gamecube and wii, so the fact that im even thinking about getting a wii-u is a testament to it looking pretty darn cool.

I also heard them mention using the GamePad as a TV remote. It'd be interesting if you could program it like a Harmony. Then maybe start a game up on the GamePad and hit a button and your TV and receiver could change to the proper inputs. Maybe even having an interactive guide from your cable or satellite company on there and letting you browse through what's on via the GamePad and change the channels with that.
I don't imagine anything like that will happen though. I didn't hate what I saw and I'm more excited to see what they have to show at E3 than I was yesterday.
