Help
Alright, I really do enjoy the 1up yours show (one of the first video game podcasts I listened to), but jesus does Shane irritate me sometimes. I think he would be an alright dude in person. It's just I know a couple people that have his exact personality i.e.-always have to have the last word, so on and so forth. There have been times I almost stopped listening just because of him. And did anyone else notice he has a HUGE Luke Smith inferiority complex? I've heard him on multiple occasions give Garnet shit because he is sounding like Luke. Just a few observations.

Pretty much everyone is annoying on 1up Yours. I have a hard time listening to it. Shane is extremely annoying. Garnet is a moron. Everyone else is usually just quiet.

Nah, Garnett seems pretty intelligent, he just makes really awful jokes.

he really does act like a moronic jackass at times, though. while he may pride himself on acting like a middle aged adolescent, it can get REALLY annoying. last week he was fucking imitating his dogs for a minute, when Shawn was taking about Donkey Konga. i get embarassed FOR him.

personally, i find 1up podcasts hard to listen to.
if i really wanted to hear annoying, pretentious geeks yammer on about the most boring aspects of games i would just stop listening to my ipod at work.

Garnett seems like a nice guy, but I think he's too desperate to sound smart and ends up embarrassing himself. It wouldn't be 1UP Yours if I didn't feel embarrassed for him at some point. Shane seems like he might be annoying in real life, but on the podcast, he's entertaining and often hilarious. I also like the fact that he doesn't seem as cynical about games as some of the other cast members. *cough* John Davison *cough*
Luke Smith is waaay overrated. I liked him at the time, but having gone back and listened to some older episodes again, he could be really obnoxious. Case in point: in reference to fl0w, saying that something can't be fun if there's no winner or loser. I still find it annoying that nobody called him on that.
