I picked this game up Tuesday for my kids.  Pixar games are usually garbage, but from what I'd seen prior to release I had hopes this would be different.  So far I'm really impressed.  We're saving the story mode until after we've seen the movie, but the open world mode is great.  There's plenty of stuff to keep the kids entertained, but also challenging stuff for grown-ups.  The two player split-screen works surprisingly well.  Last night after the kids went to bed my wife and I turned the game back on and did some of the harder missions.  Anyone that enjoys a cartoony platformer a la Ratchet & Clank or the whimsical aesthetic of the Lego games should really give this a chance.

Did anyone here pick this up today?  I did and I was pretty excited about it.  The load times are killing it for me though.  I knew they were bad from the demo and reading reviews, but they're even worse than I expected.  There's supposed to be a patch incoming to help with this, but it may be too late to save it for me.

However I am impressed with the user-generated content.  It's release day and there are already characters and cars that look really nice from just about every IP you could think of.

Hello P1P community, I'm a long-time gamer who only recently discovered this podcast.  I've been listening for a few months now, and I'm slowly working my way through the older episodes.  I started playing video games in the 2600 era, so I get a lot of the old school references from Phil, Greg and CJ.
