Yeah, they mentioned specifically that the engine is designed with the future in mind. if they don't do a GT6 HD ( and I think they will) I'd expect GT7 by 2015.

Maybe they are trying to earn some gamer cred and bit of positive press. It's been a while.

Surprised and impressed the are going with a whole new graphics/physics engine. Never thought I'd see Tessellation on the PS3, but it makes a whole lot of sense for a racing game and I'm sure it's designed with PS4+ in mind. ^_~

I'm not getting into a semantic argument. You are making a normative statement that they should not be allowed to do this, I am asking for any kind of moral theory about why that should be the case. So far all we've got is "it feels icky."  They might not be transparent enough to make Sewart feel comfortable investing, but they haven't lied about anything have they? 

 

By saying they are "exploiting their fanbase" you are saying "their fanbase is too stupid to decide what to do with their money, this should not be allowed." And I just so completely don't agree with that.

Probably PS3 as they have Drive Club for PS4 launch. Would love to see a super HD version though. =D
