Project Giana Kickstarter (Giana Sisters Sequel)

01 August 2012 - 01:47 AM

I wouldn't usually post something off of Kickstarter but I thought this would be applicable to a particular person's interests.

Black Forest Games (formerly Spellbound of Giana Sisters DS fame) have started a Kickstarter to develop a Giana Sisters sequel, coming to PC, and possibly XBLA and PSN in the future.

I would have felt remiss if I did not bring this to loveable old Phil's attention.

From the looks of it, it may be worthy of checking out when it is released.

Taking it to the Next Level

21 November 2011 - 02:03 AM

Afternoon all,

My name is Jason and I finally decided to take the plunge and join the boards.  I started listening to the show with Episode 231 (the 3DS episode) and then decided to plumb the depth of the archive.  So far I've gone as far back as Episode 89 and am about to start from Episode 0.  Most likely by years end I will have listened to over 270 episodes in under 8months.  I'm not sure what it says about me, I can only report on the detrimental effects this has had upon me.

What I enjoy most about the podcast is the sense of friendship between you all.  There's clearly a lot of history between you all (from what I will consider the 'original four' of when I started listening to all the special guests that you have) and it comes through with every interaction.  By far my favourite episodes have been the 'live' ones; I can tell how close you all are and how much you enjoy each other's company.  Of those live ones, my favourite has been Christmas 2009.

So, there we go.  I've spent most of my time talking about you guys and, quite frankly, this way is better for everyone.  Afterall, if I were that interesting, you'd be writing a introduction post on the forums for my podcast.

However, if you'd like a quick rundown, here you go: 34, male, from Brisbane Australia.  I'm at that point in my life where a younger version of me always dreamt to be in; I own a 360, PS3, Wii, DS and 3DS;  I have a backlog that's an embarrassment to myself, my gender, my country and my species; I only really got back into gaming about 2years ago, so I blame having to play catchup this generation for my predicament.

Anyway, I've wasted enough of your time and should probably take my leave.  I hope I can become an active member of your community and that you have the patience to tolerate me.

Regards,
