Did anyone here try the Secret World MMO?

Hej everyone.


Did anyone here try the MMO The Secret World? Released last year by Funcom, the creators of Dark Age of Camelot and Age of Conan. I recently got a new computer and been kinda interested in trying the game out, since I'm a huge fan of H. P. Lovecraft and this game is in that vein of lore/story. So, any triers out there? Was it fun? Different than all the other MMOs out there?


Autumn Seal, coupons for games until 20th Nov

I just found out about the page http://www.autumnseal.com/, which is a site where you basically play on a slotmachine to get coupons for a bunch of games, until 20th Nov. They are redeemable via Steam and the games are:

Trine 1 & 2 + expansions
Alan Wake & American Nightmare
Rochard
Legends of Grimrock

Most of these I can't play, but I really wanted to try out Grimrock, in case it would work, and I got the code for it on the second try! You get ten tries every 5 - 10 minutes and the discounts varies between 50 - 75%.
Kinda sounds like I'm getting paid for this, but it's a really nice little random sale!

Hej everyone,

Anyone know playing this? I got it last Friday (the 19th) and managed to finish it earlier today. Finished it on Normal but will replay it on Classic Ironman now, which will be fun but probably (DEFINITELY!) also some restarts. Oh well.
So yeah, if you played it, what did you think? I had a blast with it, and before you ask, no I didn't play the original, which is supposed to be a great but in many ways different (read: harder, more complicated and well, older) game. I had some trouble with bugs, especially one where I at one extended period of time had to save and restart the game in order to play several missions in a row, since my version (PS3) blacked out if I went on another alien hunt right after a previous one. Had some problems with my first Hover S.H.I.V. as well but only the one time.

If anyone played it, did you try the multiplayer yet? I'd love to group up and try it out some day!

Which verison of Alundra is on EU PSN?

Hej y'all,

I'm a big (big!) fan of Alundra on the PS1. Played it back in the day and the some years ago, managed to find it again and play it on the PS3. Unfortunately my PS3 died on me last year and I had to buy a new one, and this version didn't support playing PS1 & 2-games.
Anyho, the other day I saw that they released it on the EU PSN (finally I might add), but in the corner of the game's picture there is a small Japanese flag, leading me to assume that it's not the localized English version. But... the description for the game don't mention it at all! Googled around a little and didn't find anything about it. So... any of the European listeners know anything about this? I'd love to replay Alundra again (and this time finish it!), but not in Japanese!

Hej all,

I know most people probably played this on release back in March, but I just recently started playing it and I'm really enjoying the online-mode! I'll probably keep playing awhile more, so if anyone want to get together and play with mic and stuff, just add me: Slashneed.

Oh yeah, heads up, I live in Sweden, so it's GMT +1, but I'm probably able to play with you North Americans anyway.
